Avon Wood is as small, quiet park in a peaceful setting in grounds of natural woodland which slope down to the shores of Windermere. There are boat launching facilities at the lakeside.

This holiday park is situated only 5 miles from the lively village of Bowness and is an ideal base for touring the Lake District National Park. There is a choice of caravans and lodges, some with hot tubs and all are well equipped for self-catering holidays. Avon Wood has arranged a free guest membership at the Parklands Country Club which is 5 miles away. The leisure facilities and session times are bookable on arrival.
